Slovaks have made an impression in the Absolut Invite finale with some fluid velvet

Eleven bartender teams had to make their way through four disciplines which put their talent to the ultimate test to cooperate, prepare drinks promptly and precisely and respond accordingly to unexpected assignments. The assessment process was taken care of by judges represented by the Global Brand Ambassador of ABSOLUT Ricardo Dynan, the Brand Manager of ABSOLUT Zuzana Magálová and the founder of Barkultur, the owner of Bar Záhir, a professional bartender and professional consultant at Pernod Ricard Slovakia, Luboš Rácz. They had their work cut out for them and picked the very duo of Peter Marcina and Miroslav Telehanič, currently working at Sky Bar out of a plethora of gifted bartenders. The winners convinced the judges not only with their comprehensive knowledge of the bartending world, gastronomy and nightlife but most of all with their drink presented.
Their original drink, called Ta det lugnt (Take it easy) which out of the creations of young Slovak bartenders has managed to make the deepest impression, consists of Absolut Elyx vodka with a hint of hibiscus, raspberries and wild thyme flavour. That turned out to be the very recipe with a remarkable flavor that convinced the judges that the bartending duo is the best choice to represent Slovakia in the world finale of the Absolut Invite The Team Edition in Sweden. The 3-day Global Final event is taking place in Aahus and Stockholm with 15 participating teams from all over the world. „We are more than happy and absolutely committed. We are headed to Sweden humbly and an intention to learn something new. At the same time we will pull out all the stops to win this thing. After all that’s why we are going there?!,“ claimed the winners whom we are all going to keep our fingers crossed for in June.
